Vantuono<\/a>,R\u00e9dacteur en chef<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RAILWAY AGE, NUM\u00c9RO DE F\u00c9VRIER 2021 : CSX et l'exploitation ferroviaire de banlieue du MBTA am\u00e9liorent les performances et la disponibilit\u00e9 des locomotives gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une surveillance et une analyse pr\u00e9cises du carburant et de l'huile de graissage, respectivement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le carburant et l'huile de graissage sont litt\u00e9ralement la force vitale d'une locomotive diesel-\u00e9lectrique. Le carburant repr\u00e9sente le deuxi\u00e8me poste de d\u00e9penses d'exploitation le plus important du chemin de fer, apr\u00e8s la main-d'\u0153uvre. Et l'huile de graissage est bien plus complexe qu'il n'y para\u00eet, car sa chimie est un indicateur pr\u00e9cis de la performance d'un moteur et du moment o\u00f9 une d\u00e9faillance peut \u00eatre imminente.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240530064116\/https:\/\/www.csx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CSX<\/a>&nbsp;et le&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240530064116\/https:\/\/www.mbta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SNCF<\/a>\u2019op\u00e8rent leurs op\u00e9rations de train de banlieue en utilisant des analyses et une technologie pilot\u00e9e par l'intelligence artificielle (IA) pour optimiser et analyser respectivement le carburant et l'huile lubrifiante.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Donn\u00e9es mol\u00e9culaires MBTA<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La MBTA, sous la direction du responsable des chemins de fer, Ryan Coholan, s'est associ\u00e9e \u00e0&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240530064116\/https:\/\/4atmos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">4Atmos Technologies LLC<\/a>, un fournisseur de solutions Big Data IIoT (Internet Industriel des Objets) et d'analyses pr\u00e9dictives bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Dallas, Texas, dans le cadre d'un programme appel\u00e9 Oil Velocity Solutions. Le programme applique la mod\u00e9lisation IA aux donn\u00e9es de laboratoire d'huile lubrifiante et les regroupe \u201c en correspondance avec des signatures de d\u00e9faillance connues, et non seulement des seuils limites sup\u00e9rieurs et inf\u00e9rieurs \u201d, selon le pr\u00e9sident de 4Atmos, Mike Jensen. \u201c Les fluides sont des enregistreurs de donn\u00e9es mol\u00e9culaires qui attendent de raconter leur histoire. \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le programme Oil Velocity Solutions analyse pas moins de sept modes de d\u00e9faillance des locomotives li\u00e9s au lubrifiant, associ\u00e9s \u00e0 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Fuites de carburant \/ Viscosit\u00e9.<br>\u2022 Surpression du carter.<br>\u2022 \u00c9chappement des gaz \/ Turbocompresseur.<br>\u2022 Contamination\/Dilution du liquide de refroidissement.<br>\u2022 Usure des roulements du moteur de traction.<br>M\u00e9taux d'usure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suite \u00e0 un projet pilote de six mois couronn\u00e9 de succ\u00e8s, la MBTA a pass\u00e9 un contrat avec 4Atmos pour surveiller l'ensemble de ses locomotives en production compl\u00e8te. \u201c Nous avons aid\u00e9 la MBTA \u00e0 battre des records en ce que nous appelons les bonnes d\u00e9tections et les \u00e9conomies \u201d, note Jensen. \u201c Nous avons constat\u00e9 un ROI rapide, une r\u00e9duction des retards de trains, une diminution des co\u00fbts de maintenance des locomotives et une fiabilit\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9e, avec un d\u00e9lai moyen de pr\u00e9diction de d\u00e9faillance de 30 jours. \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depuis 2018, la MBTA est pass\u00e9e d'une analyse d'huile tous les 45 jours \u00e0 une analyse tous les 10 jours, int\u00e9grant une analyse pr\u00e9dictive des huiles\/fluides ; un laboratoire d'huiles sur site, dot\u00e9 de personnel de la MBTA ; un classement des locomotives \u201c \u00e0 risque \u201d ; des recommandations de prescription pour l'inspection et la r\u00e9paration ; et la surveillance des garanties de r\u00e9vision. Le programme propose des solutions de reporting bas\u00e9es sur le Web et sur mobile qui fournissent :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 ML (apprentissage automatique) avanc\u00e9 avec IA.<br>\u2022 Mise en correspondance des transferts de flotte pour les actifs \u00e0 risque.<br>\u2022 Vue \u00e0 360 degr\u00e9s de la sant\u00e9 de la locomotive.<br>\u2022 Narratifs prescriptifs pour l'inspection et la r\u00e9paration cibl\u00e9es.<br>\u2022 Int\u00e9gration avec les syst\u00e8mes de gestion d'actifs.<br>\u2022 Comparaisons avec la \u2019 Biblioth\u00e8que des \u00e9checs \u201c de 4Atmos et la base de donn\u00e9es d'\u00e9chantillons d'huile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u201c\u00a0Oil Calls\u00a0\u201d hebdomadaires traitent des locomotives historiques \u00e0 risque, ainsi que des unit\u00e9s (telles que les r\u00e9visions) sous garantie, et examinent les relev\u00e9s de laboratoire quotidiens. La coordination s\u2019effectue entre plusieurs d\u00e9partements du MBTA et implique des fournisseurs et des consultants. L\u2019aspect le plus pr\u00e9cieux de ce programme et de son approche \u201c\u00a0d\u2019analyse approfondie\u00a0\u201d, selon Jensen, est \u201c\u00a0la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions bas\u00e9es sur des preuves\u00a0\u201d. Ces d\u00e9cisions sont \u201c\u00a0prescriptives et proactives, plut\u00f4t que r\u00e9actives\u00a0\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4Atmos a d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 un programme similaire d'analyse d'huile chez CSX, qui a \u00e0 ce jour enregistr\u00e9 bien plus de 1 000 \u201cbonnes trouvailles\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bureau de la conservation du carburant CSX<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Au sein du centre NetOps de CSX \u00e0 Jacksonville, en Floride, se trouve un bureau de la conservation du carburant.&nbsp;<em><\/em>qui fonctionne 24h\/24 et 7j\/7. Prend en charge plusieurs fournisseurs, parmi lesquels&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240530064116\/https:\/\/www2.wi-tronix.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wi-Tronix LCC<\/a>, et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une technologie d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en interne, le Fuel Conservation Desk surveille en temps r\u00e9el toutes les locomotives de ligne active de CSX. Compos\u00e9 d'une seule personne, c'est l'id\u00e9e du directeur de la strat\u00e9gie et de l'utilisation du carburant, Corey Davis, un v\u00e9t\u00e9ran de CSX de 24 ans et r\u00e9cipiendaire du&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240530064116\/https:\/\/www.aar.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ARR<\/a>\u2019Prix d\u2019excellence environnementale John H. Chafee 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Davis a supervis\u00e9 les efforts qui ont permis \u00e0 CSX de r\u00e9duire sa consommation de carburant de plus de 8%\u00a0\u2014\u00a0environ 32 millions de gallons\u00a0\u2014\u00a0entre 2012 et 2018, et de r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de dioxyde de carbone de 332\u00a0000 tonnes en une seule ann\u00e9e. Il s'est efforc\u00e9 d'int\u00e9grer pleinement&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240530064116\/https:\/\/www.wabteccorp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wabtec<\/a>\u2019la technologie Trip Optimizer avec les interfaces Positive Train Control (PTC), qui permet \u00e0 ces syst\u00e8mes de s'adapter automatiquement aux changements de r\u00e9seau en temps r\u00e9el pour optimiser l'efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, ce qui permet d'\u00e9conomiser environ 6% de carburant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c Au total, les initiatives men\u00e9es sous la direction de Davis ont permis d'atteindre une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique record et ont r\u00e9duit la consommation de carburant du chemin de fer de pr\u00e8s de 60 000 gallons par jour \u2019, a not\u00e9 CSX. \u201d Pour l'avenir, il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 intimement impliqu\u00e9 dans l'\u00e9laboration des objectifs ambitieux de CSX en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES), qui ont re\u00e7u l'approbation de la Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI). \u201c&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Service de la conservation du carburant, que Davis d\u00e9crit comme \u201c ax\u00e9 sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u201d et \u201c focalis\u00e9 sur les objectifs de durabilit\u00e9 de CSX \u201d, assure une surveillance de la conformit\u00e9 en temps r\u00e9el ainsi qu'un coaching en temps r\u00e9el pour les conducteurs de locomotives sur les techniques d'exploitation visant \u00e0 \u00e9conomiser le carburant. Davis, originaire d'Atlanta et issu d'une famille de cheminots traditionnelle dont les racines remontent aux pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs de CSX, Seaboard Air Line\/Seaboard Coast Line et Louisville &amp; Nashville (L&amp;N), qualifie ces fonctionnalit\u00e9s \u201c dans l'instant \u201d.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'objectif de r\u00e9duction des GES de CSX pour 2030 est de 37,3%. \u00c0 partir de 2020, le chemin de fer, dit Davis, est en avance sur le calendrier, gr\u00e2ce en partie \u00e0 des initiatives bas\u00e9es sur l'analyse pr\u00e9dictive comme le Fuel Conservation Desk.
